FAQs for weddings

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions for my wedding photography packages.

Where are you based?

I've lived in many places but I'm currently based in Glen Waverly, in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

How many photos will we get?

That's difficult to answer because it varies from wedding to wedding. Naturally, I want you to have as many of the photos as possible. I sort through them and kick out all the duplicates or ?bad? ones, which are blurred or where people are blinking etc, and give you all the rest.

Do you edit ALL the photos?

Yes, once I've sorted through your photos, I'll complete minor editing where needed. This may be slight colour correction, increasing/decreasing the exposure or cropping an image to enhance it. I like my photos to look natural so my editing style is quite simplistic. You will look your best without looking fake.

What happens if it rains?

This is not something to worry about at all! I've got plenty of umbrellas and we'll come up with a 'rainy day plan' before your wedding day so that we're all prepared. And hey, if it does rain, gumboots always look great ;)

Do you have travel costs?

Anything within 30kms of Glen Waverley is included in the cost of your package and after that I charge 80c per km.

How long will it take for us to receive our photos?

While this can vary depending on my workload and whether or not your wedding is during the more popular wedding months, the average time to receive your online gallery is 4 -6 weeks after your wedding, sometimes even sooner. Your USB will then be sent to you within the following week.

Do you offer albums?

Yes, I do. They are a timeless way to keep your photos and to show them off to friends and family. Once you've received your online gallery and USB, I will get to work designing your album. You will then give the final approval before I send it off to the printers.

Do you offer a second photographer?

All weddings are photographed by myself. I want to capture as many natural moments as your day unfolds and don?t usually see the need for another photographer to be getting in the way. However, sometimes there are circumstances where you might feel you?d prefer to have an extra photographer and this is something we can discuss.

- Kind words -

Choosing Gill as our wedding photographer was really a lucky find. For us it was really important to find a photographer we feel comfortable with. During the ceremony she managed to be "invisible", so everything went really smoothly. Her talent for talking photos in the right moment made our photos great, so we have wonderful reminders of a wonderful day. We highly recommend Gill as a wedding photographer and wish her all the best for the future.

We're so happy to have asked Gill to be the photographer for our wedding. She captured so many moments that mean so much to us with her beautiful photos. From the little details we’d spent so much time planning, to the big emotional moments with friends and family - it's all there.
